First off, I will apologize if ever my sentence construction seems out of hand. It has been years since I last resorted to writing stuff online and I guess it's safe to say that the iron (meaning, my brain) has rusted and is in need of oil drops.
Moving on, like what I said in a previous post, my boyfriend and I love to eat. Every time we're together, I can instantly predict that eating is going to happen. That's why whenever boyfriend tells me it's okay not to bring any money with me, I see to it that I have a few hundreds with me before heading out.
This happened one time wherein I wasn't entirely ready for it. He decided that we should "take a walk". So, without hesitation, I went along with his plan wearing my PJs and a passable pair of Spice Girl-ish slippers.
To my luck, we ended up at Chemesa Cafe; a semi-fancy restaurant where you may or may not order a 3-course meal. Thank God I wore a decent sleeveless top or else I'd look like I'm going to check in to sleep at a restaurant!
Everyone who knows us know that hubby and I live for two things in this relationship: movies and food. In a different yet totally related note, a friend of ours once said that we eat really yummy food based on our photos. I kid you not, whenever we eat out, it just turns out we only get the best tasting food - at least in our own palates.
And because we are two hungry beasts, we commuted all the way to Cagayan de Oro; probably the closest we have of Cebu. We then went straight to Centrio Ayala Mall to do a little bit of shopping before grubbing.
Now, being a bit of a girly girl and pointing out that I love the color pink, our first stop was Etude House. I guess I splurged too much there and almost got hypnotized into buying stuff that I actually don't need. I bought facial masks for my girl cousins and aunt, and other stuff for myself. Looking back at it now, WHY THE HELL DID I BUY NAIL POLISH? It's the packaging perhaps. I am a sucker for anything cute... so sue me! :-(
This morning, I just had the most awesome meal and I could only care less about cholesterol (in my defense, I hopped on the treadmill and lasted 25 minutes).
I mean, come on! Who doesn't love crabs? Except for those who are allergic, I am so sorry if I let you remember your bittersweet and love-hate relationship with seafood.
My cousin and I were on our way home from Maranding and she had to stop the car at Lala, Lanao del Norte. Before we even got to Maranding, she was babbling about how cheap a kilo's worth is for crabs and shrimps (even the tiger shrimps). So, we each bought 2 kilos of crabs which is worth Php 150/kilo because, why not? Crazy cheap, right? In our home town, Iligan City, a kilo would cost twice than that or maybe even more!
So, yes, the next day, my aunt, her daughter and I devoured every last bit of crab meat and had to dig deep into every corner of the holy crab. And I overdid myself, finishing about 3-4 crabs. Don't judge! I only get to eat it once in every 5 or 6 months, okay?
'Til next time, dear succulent crab!
